Coronavirus has made everyone’s life miserable. Not being able to go out to meet your friends, family members and relatives is really exhausting. Not having enough money to survive the day. Not being able to go out of the house if there is nothing important. Mentally and physically exhausting.
There are few general guidelines that you can follow to help you get through this coronavirus pandemic with less stress and pressure.
Know if you are sick.
First of all, make sure everyone is in good health and know if you are sick. Every body reacts differently when they are infected by any bacteria or virus. This virus affects individuals differently, so make sure you are always aware of the symptoms. If you are sick or you are not sure of your health, immediately go to the nearest clinic or hospital to check whether or not you are infected with the virus. Get the medical assistant to assist you to your doctor.
Basic thing: quarantine yourself if you are not feeling well to avoid spreading any unnecessary virus to your surroundings.
Follow the Standard Operative Procedure (SOP)
Stay at home if you have no business meeting strangers. Set a virtual meeting if it is important. If you are needed to go outside, make sure to wear a mask and follow the right guide to wear it. Do not put it on your chin and avoid taking off the mask unless you have to do so; while drinking or eating and while being alone.
Make sure to be aware of the distance from one another. It has to be more than 1 meter. Bring along your hand sanitizer or hand soap and extra face mask in case you have to change it. Do not reuse the same face mask.
Consult a certified medical practitioner if you have anything to ask because they know better; make sure they graduated from any certified medical assistant course before consulting.
Always have enough food and supplies.
As we are under the movement control order (MCO), avoid going out frequently to reduce the chances of getting infected. Once you go out for grocery shopping, make sure you top up your basic needs such as rice, vegetables, proteins and toiletries. Go out once every two to four weeks and buy enough food for that period of time. Do not panic buy because there will be a lot more people who are in need to buy groceries.
Get extra supply of face masks, hand sanitizer and hand soap in case you are out of stock but never buy in unnecessary amounts. Don’t forget to refill your medications if you need them and if you have a baby or infant at your house, make sure their basic medication or ointment has been refilled. Their needs are also important to avoid any inconvenience.
Take care of your mental health
During pandemic, mental issues are one of the most concerning issues as this is a kind of disease that we cannot see with our eyes. Too much screen time, workloads, assignments and stress could lead to a serious matter. If you are out of money or food supplies, please tell your family members or friends and see if they can help.
Seek for professional help if it gets worse.
